The bicycle is a key factor in reducing air and noise pollution in cities. According to Barcelonas City Hall, the bicycle is the most efficient means of transport in terms of energy use: it uses 12 times less energy than a full car to move one person over a distance of 1 kilometre, and 50 times less than a car carrying just one person. However, we should follow some safety and coexistence measures when we ride the bike in the city.
